Training of Trainers Workshop-Batticaloa
The inaugural session of the Training of Trainers workshop conducted by Aaruthal in collaboration with the Provincial Department of Education, Northern Province for the Teachers of English teaching in Primary and Secondary classes, commenced at 09.00 today the 2nd of May, 2017 at Bt./St.Theresa Girls’ Vidyalayam.
The Zonal Director of Education, Batticaloa West Ms. Ahila Kanagasooriyar, Deputy Director of Education, Education Development, Mrs.Shanhari Ganaheshwaran, the Assistant Director of Education, English-Batticaloa, West, Mrs.Shakunthala Sureshkumar, the Assistant Director of Education, English-Batticaloa Mr.Chandrakumaran, Aaruthal coordinators, Mr.Sivapiragasam, Mr.Sinnathamby Podiyar, the two professors from India Prof. Sam Mohan Lal, Ph.D. and Dr. N. Nadaraja Pillai, M.A.,Ph.D participated at the inaugural session. Traditional oil lamp was lit up to mark the commencement of the session.
The Zonal Director of Education, Batticaloa West Ms. Ahila Kanagasooriyar, welcomed the professors, and the participants briefed about the procedure of the five days workshop. The workshop sessions were launched at 09.30 am with a power point presentation about Pronunciation in English by Prof. N. Nadaraja Pillai, M.A.,Ph.D.
