The Workshop for Pre – primary and Primary School English Teachers

The workshop was conducted on 10^th and 11^th of December at J/St. John’s College, Jaffna. The preschool teachers from Jaffna, Kopai, Nallur,   Thellippalai, Point Pedro, Uduvil, Changanai, Karainagar, Velanai, Karaveddy  and the officers from Aaruthal participated at the workshop.

Rev .N.J.Gnanaponraj, Principal, St. John’s College, Miss.Jeya Thambiah, Director, E.C.C.D, Ministry of Education, Northern Province, Mr.S.Gopinath, Director, Jaffna Academy & School of Technology, Mr. S. Subramaniyam, Assistant Director of Education, Zonal  Education Office, Jaffna  participated at the inaugural session and the closing sessions.

Mrs.Chithira Fernando was the facilitator of the workshop. The teachers were trained on the following skills.

• Greetings and Introductions
• Recapitulation through a play let
