Empowering Workshop for G.C.E (A/L ) Students

The empowering workshop was organized by Aaruthal in collaboration with the Field Work Centre, Thondamanaru  and the  Zonal Education Offices, Batticaloa, Thirukkovil and Kalmunai.

The workshop was conducted on 17 & 18^th of April in Batticaloa and in Kalmunai and Thirukkovil on 19^th and 20^th April, 2015 at Bt./ Vincent Girls’ High School, Km./Mahmud Ladies’ College and Km./Tk./Thambiluvil Madhaya Maha Vidyalayam respectively.

The needs of the children in Batticaloa, Kalmunai and Thirukkovil Zones were considered and Aaruthal in collaboration with the Thondamanaru Field Work Centre organized the  empowering workshop for the G.C.E  A/L students who are going to face the examination  in August 2015 in these Zones. The Field Work Centre helped to arrange the resource persons who are experts in Combined Mathematics, Biology, Physics and Chemistry to conduct the seminar and to agree to meet the expenses to conduct the seminar.

172 students from Batticaloa, 81 students from Kalmunai and 66 students from Thirukkovil participated in the workshop and benefitted.
